New Music School and Steinway & Sons Educational Partner Studio
For more than 163 years Steinway has been an avid supporter of music education. From the beginning of Steinway's history, when Loretta Steinway gave piano lessons to prospective clients to secure a piano sale, to our present day support for music festivals worldwide, we have believed that music education is of the utmost importance. In return, we have enjoyed assisting students and their families in making the best decisions about their musical investment. For this reason, we call this program the Steinway Showroom Affiliate Program.
The Steinway Showroom Affiliate Program is designed to support and further music education by providing quality instruments to piano teaching community music schools. Through this program, New Music School received a loan of Steinway and Steinway-designed pianos for all our teaching studios. In return, New Music School will act as a showroom for Steinway & Sons, allowing the pianos to be viewed and sold during non-teaching hours.

New Music School and GEMS World Academy Chicago partner to provide all students (ages 3+) with private music lessons. Private lessons will be offered in the following areas:

VOICE (8+)
NMS also runs the Orchestra program for GEMS students.
Modern Strings Rentals
New Music School (NMS) is proud to work directly with Modern Strings; Chicago's new premier string rental company. At NMS, we ensure all students' an easy path to selecting a string instrument. At NMS, students/parents can rest assured knowing we have done the research to make sure your instrument is of the finest quality.

Provide instruments at first lesson to select
Need instrumental repair? Students can leave at school for repair and pick up at their second lesson.
Need supplies? NMS's private instructors will purchase and deliver.
From the faculty who teach you, to our instrument retailers, New Music School aims to provide the finest teaching along with the finest instruments for all NMS students.
To Rent an Instrument
To begin renting an instrument a parent, guardian or other responsible adult need only complete the attached rental contract and provide basic credit information. If credit card information cannot be provided, a security deposit is required. Modern Strings bill monthly on the seventh of each month. The contract may be canceled at any time, and billing will end when the instrument is returned. Make sure to mention New Music School on your rental form.
